Sonia Nestorowicz is a devoted Dental Hygiene Therapist, known for her attention to preventive dental care and gentle approach to treatment. With a decade of experience in the dental field, Sonia brings a wealth of experience and a patient-focused approach to her role.

Sonia earned her BSc with Honours in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from Newcastle University in 2021, marking the start of her professional journey as a Dental Hygiene Therapist. This was the culmination of her broad experience in the field, which began with her role as a dental nurse eight years prior. After her studies, Sonia gained practical experience at well-regarded dental clinics in London.

Sonia specializes in airflow dental cleaning, a gentle and effective cleaning method that ensures patient comfort. Her technique is particularly appreciated by patients who may be anxious about dental procedures.

Sonia is a registered member of the General Dental Council (GDC), a body dedicated to maintaining standards in the UK dental profession.

Sonia is a firm believer in preventive dentistry and patient education. Her approach involves providing clear and personalized advice to patients, helping them understand their oral health challenges and how to address them. Sonia’s gentle hand and patient acclimatisation techniques have been invaluable for easing patient anxiety and making hygiene appointments a comfortable experience.

Sonia has displayed her commitment to public oral health during her year of volunteering at an outreach centre in Newcastle. She actively advocates for increased oral health awareness in the community.

When not attending to her patients, Sonia enjoys spending time with her three British Shorthair cats, Chai, Punai and Papaya as well as her 18 month old son. She embraces new experiences and is always open to learning, a trait reflected in her current pursuit of a BSc in Adult Nursing to further expand her medical knowledge.
